Packaging

On the NP-01S, the minimalist approach extends not only to the aesthetics: Aside from the well-cushioned mouse, nothing else is found in the black and white box. This is part of VAXEE's commitment to sustainability, producing as little waste as possible.

Weight

My scale shows around 68 g (+/- 1 g), which is slightly less than the weight cited by VAXEE. The NP-01S is a decent bit smaller than the NP-01, so it's no wonder it ends up a bit lighter.

Cable

The NP-01S features a paracord-like, braided cable. It's a bit stiffer than most other paracord-like cables—I'd rank it similarly to the Razer Viper Mini cable. VAXEE cites durability as the reason for choosing this cable over more flexible ones. Its measured length is 2.10 m. The cable has an attached ferrite bead, which reduces signal noise, as well as a gold-plated USB connector. Much like on the NP-01 and AX, the stress relief is angled upwards slightly.

Feet

The feet on the NP-01S are white-dyed pure PTFE (Teflon) feet. Glide is perfectly fine. Their size and shape is indeed identical with those of the NP-01 and AX. Much like on the AX, the feet are 0.6 mm thick by default, which is very welcome. Small indentations next to the feet make them easily removable.
