Software
Verbatim ships the drive with the Ceedo software. This is the newest version of the Launchpad found on other Verbatim drives. It basically is a contained system, on which you can install applications. These then run off the memory device, meaning that you will have them at your disposal, no matter where you go. The software auto-starts and checks for updates upon starting. In our case an update was available, it downloaded and installed on the Store'n'Go USB Hard Drive with no problems.
The launchpad itself looks much like the Windows XP start menu. This means that you should not have many problems using the program right off the bat. A small icon in the system tray gives you a few further options, including turning Ceedo off.
When you want to install a program, a website is opened up with a listing of programs and games. Most can be tried out for free in a limited form.
A game was chosen and installed on the Store'n'Go USB Hard Drive. The quality of the game itself is not that great. We checked the prices of the software and were rather surprised to see a $19.95 US Dollar tag for such a game. Considering it being a very simple 2D game this price is very high.
