Introduction

VidaBox Logo

VidaBox is a relatively unknown brand on the audio scene, which is a shame since they have an extensive line-up of interesting products. Today, we will take a look at the OpenSqueeze which picks up were the Logitech SqueezeBox left off. The OpenSqueeze serves the same purpose as it allows you to stream from your NAS or Logitech Media Center enabled device. It plays just about any audio format you can throw at it and is powered by a small USB charger.

Like its predecessors from Logitech, this neat functionality comes at a cost. VidaBox sells the OpenSqueeze for $318, which is about the same as Logitech's old devices but still quite a bit of money for the average listener. The kicker is that VidaBox's devices come with 2-way-communication drivers, so you could integrate the OpenSqueeze into pretty much any home entertainment system if you have the time to do so.
