Value and Conclusion

  • The XClio 3060 Plus sells for about $59.99 US Dollars.
  • Large 360mm blue LED fan side panel
  • Thumbscrews on both side panels
  • Many possible fan mounting locations in the front and rear
  • Unique style
  • Lower quality construction and materials
  • Tool-less features available but not included
  • Very restrictive stamped fan grills
  • No CPU temperature difference with larger fan and stock cooling
The XClio 3060 Plus is an inexpensive standard ATX case with a unique style and some interesting features, most notably the 360mm side panel fan. This case has plenty of mounting locations for optional fans of all different sizes. I did like the way the front lights up with the ring of blue lights around the power button and the HDD activity indicator.

However, there were so many things with which XClio could have done better. There are provisions for tool-less locking devices, but they were not included and are listed as "optional." Even with all the fan mounts no extra fans were included, relying heavily on positive pressure instead of the more effective negative pressure to cool the case. Plus, all of the stamped grills had very small holes making them much too restrictive. The side panel fan and the power LEDs in front both connect with four-pin Molex connectors, but there are no pass-through power connectors to add additional devices. On top of all that, the case just is not made with as much quality as one would expect for a case this price, but one has to remember that close to one third of the price will go toward the cost of the 360mm fan alone.

Overall The XClio 3060 Plus is a slightly above-average case that falls short. If you have a low budget, a lot of time to mod the case, and are seriously in love with its looks, the 3060 Plus may be for you.
