The Xigmatek Utgard takes a lot of features of the Midgard and improves upon them. The most obvious is the locking mechanism for the expansion bay and the slight restructuring of the plastic clamps, which now hold the cables better without opening up under pressure. Besides that Xigmatek has expanded the fan controller to host a maximum of six coolers. The mesh side panel also allows you to add up to four cooling units, something we have yet to see on other enclosures of this price range. On the downside, there is really not too much to say. We do not understand the inclusion of two eSATA ports or the lack of a reset button, and those are aspects which can easily be overlooked. The great looking front along with the excellent placement of the I/O should makes the Utgard an easy choice, especially since it is available in three flavors. It only costs 10 or 20 Euros more than the Midgard but manages to supply an excellent overall look and feel.
