Shape

While the shape itself hasn't received any changes, the M4 Wireless comes with a novelty compared to the wired M4. Much like on the M42, using a different back cover is now possible. Compared to the default one, the alternative cover has a higher profile, resulting in a more pronounced hump towards the back. By comparison, the default back cover is flatter and provides less palm support. Aside from this addition, the shape hasn't been touched. The M4 Wireless is still fairly unique in that the left side is barely raised, creating a rather flat and unintrusive hump. Towards the back, the left side flares out very noticeably, resulting in a pronounced curve along the left side, which can be irritating depending on how the mouse is gripped. In general, the butt is fairly wide, whereas the front stays rather slim, somewhat reminiscent of the SteelSeries Rival 310 and Prime series. The main buttons do not feature any comfort grooves, allowing one to freely place one's fingers. For all but the front part of the main buttons, circular holes are used across the entirety of the mouse for weight reduction.

As for grip styles, I'd say the M4 Wireless is mostly suited for palm and claw grip. It is a medium-sized mouse with a moderately pronounced hump, which should make it suit most hand sizes. For reference, my hands are 19 cm long and 10 cm wide, and I found the M4 Wireless very comfortable in claw grip.
