YUNZII is a keyboard company established in 2018 by a group of enthusiasts claiming extensive experience in industrial design and keyboard manufacturing, so much so that it aims to partner with other keyboard manufacturers on top of putting out its own labeled products. In addition to keyboards, YUNZII offers a plethora of accessories, including keycap sets, artisan keycaps, custom cables, and desk mats. While a look through the company's online store would result in some familiar faces from AKKO, Skyloong, and a few other brands we have covered before, I was intrigued by a new offering when the company representative reached out, so here we are taking a look at the new Keynovo IF98. Thanks to YUNZII for providing TechPowerUp a review sample!
Keynovo is the actual brand here; one of two brands under the YUNZII umbrella when it comes to bringing the IF98 to fruition to where I am happy to refer to this keyboard as the YUNZII Keynovo IF98 after all. As the name suggests, this is a 98-key US ANSI layout keyboard that defaults to 94-keys courtesy a removable badge on the top-right corner, and it comes in a few different colors with a common acrylic case. There are plenty of features for keyboard enthusiasts as much as someone who just thinks this looks cool, including a gasket mount structure, hot-swappable switches, per-key RGB backlighting, under-body lighting, and of course the rarely seen form factor. Let's dig deeper into all of this in our review that begins with a look at the product specifications in the table below.
