Zalman has established itself as a leading manufacturer of PC cooling products. Formed in 1999, they have since grown to be a force in the DIY PC gaming market, with the catalyst for their meteoric rise the release of NVIDIA's GeForce 256. Since those days, Zalman has continued to grow, reinvent, and ultimately remain relevant through their continuously updated and refined coolers, cases, fans, and other products that bring about a feeling of nostalgia for some, or just by going crazy with said designs, such as the spider-like fans. Regardless of its recent ups and downs, they remain a dominant player in the DIY PC market.
In this review, I will be taking an in-depth look at the Zalman Reserator5 Z36 Black ARGB-equipped all-in-one liquid CPU cooler. The pump is illuminated by ARGB LEDs which add visual flair, while the fans are black to match the radiator. Such a design choice leaves the cooler feeling a bit more refined and less in your face when it comes to the LED lighting. Regardless of the looks, performance is what matters here, so let us take a closer look at the Reserator5 Z36 without further delay.
