Out of the box, the Zalman Z3 Iceberg is pretty understated and features a solid front panel with two openings in the front, as well as air vents on the side for some airflow at least.

Taking a look at the front, one can draw a line to the "Iceberg" in its name. This hold especially true for the white version of the Z3 Iceberg. You may pull the cover off, which reveals a black, magnetic mesh filter and single 120 mm ARGB intake fan. Alternatively, you may install two further units of that size or swap it all out for two 140 mm fans.

Looking at the rear, everything is pretty run of the mill with a bottom-mounted PSU bay. Interestingly enough, Zalman opted for plastic thumb screws, while most other brands go straight for steel ones instead.

The window of the Zalman Z3 Iceberg is secured from the rear, which results in a clean look. Additionally, it is framed in black and otherwise clear, so you should have no issues showing off your hardware. On the opposite side, the chassis is completely solid, and two more thumb screws hold this panel in place.

Looking at the rear, the bottom PSU bay comes with a single set of mounting holes. Above that are the eight expansion slots with reusable covers, which is nice to see. In the very top is another 120 mm ARGB fan set to push hot air out the back of the Z3 Iceberg.

In the top, you will find a black metal-mesh cover that is held in place magnetically. Underneath it are offset mounting holes for either two 120 mm or two 140 mm fans. With them so far from the motherboard side, you may opt for up to a 280 mm radiator here without issue. The I/O panel is on the side of this air vent and comes with two USB 3.0 and a USB 2.0, as well as the usual audio plugs. Zalman also includes an LED toggle button, which isn't hooked up to anything but allows for case lighting expandability with your own controller.

With a basic metal-mesh cover protecting the PSU from dust and grime, things are a bit simpler on the underside. An easily removable dust filter would have been awesome, but considering the price tag, this will do just fine.
