Introduction
Zaopin is a peripherals company based in China. As its name implies, the right-handed ergonomic Z2 Mini is a smaller version of the Z2, although the shape has been modified slightly instead of being scaled down uniformly. For the 4K variant, PixArt's PAW3395 sensor capable of 26,000 CPI is used. Much like on the Z2, the main button switches are hot-swappable, with Huano switches of the green transparent shell, white plunger variety installed by default. At 57 g, the Z2 Mini weighs 9 g less than the Z2, despite featuring the same 500 mAh battery capacity. In wireless operation, up to 4000 Hz polling is supported, and both 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth connectivity are present. The usual customization options are found in the software. The Z2 Mini is available in black, white, purple, blue, yellow, red, or orange.
This review covers the 4K version of the Z2 Mini. For performance testing of the 1K version, please refer to the
review of the Z1.

Weight
My scale shows around 57 g (+/- 1 g), which is almost exactly in line with the weight cited by Zaopin. For comparison, the similarly sized and likewise hole-free ASUS ROG Keris II Ace weighs 54 g, whereas the larger Razer DeathAdder V3 Hyperspeed, also solid-shell, weighs 53 g, though neither of these have hot-swappable switches. A very good weight overall.
