ASRock A-Style Motherboards Offer 802.11ac WLAN and Bluetooth 4.0

Take a good minute to reminisce all the joy and fun you had on the internet. Good times, I tell you. Then take another solid minute to recollect those dark depressing moments when the connection was either slow or unstable. Images turning into rectangles with red crosses, laggy videos that took forever to load, downloads that tragically failed at the last few seconds, and it all seemed like the world was coming to an end. Rest assured that ASRock is bringing better Internet connections to the upcoming Intel 8 Series motherboards with A-Style: 2T2R Dual Band 802.11ac WiFi + Bluetooth v4.0.
802.11ac WiFi is a new wireless computer networking standard that provides high-throughput wireless local area networks on the 5GHz band with data transferring speeds up to 867Mbps, a whopping 289% speed boost compared to the former models with 2T2R 802.11n WiFi. Besides the new WiFi, some models will also come with a new ASRock Wi-SD front tray which includes 4 USB 3.0 ports and an SD 3.0 card slot.

ProtagonistCan the wireless Bluetooth module be plugged on an mSata pci connector?
First of all, you're mixing up standards here. mSATA and mini PCI Express might share the same physical connector, but the two aren't the same.
All Bluetooth modules use USB, not PCI Express, but generally all mini PCI Express slots also supports USB, so a combo Wi-Fi card with USB should work.

Putting a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth module in a metal chassis. That makes sense to me.. I wonder how poor the signal will be because of it.

this.

its going to be ok for BT because you're likely to have the devices in front of the PC (headsets and such), but the wifi AC is going to suffer terribly.

I have the ASUS module on my P9X79. Once you plugin the antenna and put it in a decent place the signal is okay, but even with it coming out the back of the I/O panel, the signal still blows without an antenna. I also barely used the BT, so I would only be interested in the Wi-Fi itself tbh. I would love an option for an external antenna without having to craft up something myself though.

Misleading...

So... this new add on to ASRock selected motherboards will actually BOOST YOUR INTERNET CONNECTION?

If my internet is 10Mb... with this add on it will be able to go to 20Mb without my cable provider charging me more?

Jezzz.... lame :shadedshu

Wouldn't you need a 2T2R Dual Band 802.11ac router to make any use of this though.
