GIGABYTE's Entire Selection of Z490 Motherboards Pictured

Turkish tech publication PC Hocasi posted marketing pictures of the entire lineup of GIGABYTE's Intel Z490 chipset motherboards. These include the four recently leaked to web. The vast selection of boards includes the Z490 Vision G and Z490 Vision D targeted at creators. The company's mainline Ultra Durable (UD) and Gaming series includes the likes of the Z490 Gaming X and Z490M Gaming X, and of course the company's AORUS Gaming lineup we detailed in the older article.

An interesting trend with these boards is that GIGABYTE appears to have indeed given them PCI-Express gen 4.0 preparation, which extends across most SKU, including the entry-level UD series. These boards will not provide gen 4.0 with 10th gen "Comet Lake" processors, but the gen 4.0 preparation is reserved for its successor, the 11th gen "Rocket Lake," whenever it comes out. This is a costly design choice which rides on the assumption that "Rocket Lake" will introduce gen 4.0 to the LGA1200 socket (and not the fabled future LGA1700 socket). "Rocket Lake" is expected to come out towards the end of 2020 or early 2021, and will be Intel's response to Ryzen 4000 "Vermeer" processors based on the "Zen 3" microarchitecture.
AORUS Z490 AORUS ELITE and ELITE WiFi
These form the entry level to the AORUS Gaming lineup and include all platform basics, geared toward gaming PC builds:
Z490 Gaming X and Z490M Gaming X
These are GIGABYTE's mid-range premium gaming motherboards outside of the AORUS Gaming brand, for those more familiar with the main brand, and drawn to big "Gaming" lettering on the box. Feature-set comparable to AORUS Elite.
Z490 UD, Z490 UD AC, Z490M UD
These are part of the company's mainline Ultra Durable (UD) series. It's interesting to see features like integrated rear I/O shield in this segment.
Z490 Vision D and Z490 Vision G
These form GIGABYTE's new Vision brand of motherboards succeeding Designare, targeting creators with premium components, high-end connectivity (such as Thunderbolt and 10 GbE), and many more features.
Z490 AORUS Xtreme WaterForce, Z490 AORUS Xtreme, and Z490 AORUS Master
These form the company's enthusiast segment offering for no holes barred gaming and overclocking builds.
Z490 AORUS Ultra, Z490 AORUS Ultra G2 Edition, and Z490I AORUS Ultra
These are positioned just below the Z490 AORUS Master, with a reasonably solid feature-set for serious gaming PC builds. There's also an ITX variant. The G2 Edition features an interesting hot-rod meets Ninja color scheme.
Z490 AORUS PRO and Z490 AORUS PRO AX
These are the mid-range offerings within AORUS Gaming, positioned above the AORUS Elite series. Both boards are identical, with the latter featuring 802.11ax.

And somehow they stuffed up by calling the most basic board in the range, Elite, which has the polar opposite meaning.
