Ubisoft Shows Assassin's Creed Mirage Gameplay and Story Trailers

Assassin's Creed Mirage launches on October 12, 2023, for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, taking players to ninth-century Baghdad, where a young Basim starts his journey to become a Hidden One. Haunted by visions, Basim begins as a common street thief, but with guidance from Fuladh and Roshan (voiced by Shohreh Aghdashloo), he will grow to become a master assassin.

An homage to the first Assassin's Creed, Mirage will emphasize classic stealth gameplay, with tools that include throwing knives and smoke bombs, as well as new abilities like Assassin's Focus - which lets Basim take down multiple enemies in rapid succession. Additionally, Assassin's Creed Mirage will be fully localized in Arabic, allowing players across the world to experience the story in Basim's native language.
Here are the Story and Gameplay trailers, including the developer gameplay breakdown from the Ubisoft Forward.

Assasin's Boredom. Ubisoft just ran out of imagination. Just like the Fast and Furious saga, they should have stopped at the 3rd game/movie.
This is the same cash grab boring gameplay that people are tired already. Looking forward for the Far Cry 10...NOT!

That one actually looks good with more stealth & tool focus - it's been a while since they made an actual Assassin's Creed game that was more than just a copy of Witcher 3 with the "Assassin's Creed" branding slapped on it.

Same boring gameplay that people haven't seen since 2015? Yeah, it got boring then, so they changed it completely. Now they're going back to the original formula (with some of the modern elements, like the bird).
Many fans of the early games are excited. I've only played the American entries, but I might pick this one up. I'd rather play a smaller game than a gigantic world where the main story takes 60 hours.

Far Cry got pretty stale too, but FC6 was actually very good. Enjoyed it as much as FC3.

They've shown some nice stuff at their presentation. I hope they can turn it around with these upcoming games.
