Slightly weird to boast of ATX 3.0 specs, when v3.1 is out. Granted, it's mostly the connector for the graphics cards that has been updated, but why not ship with the new cable and "boast" of ATX 3.1 compliancy.

Probably because it won't matter

I know at least 6 people that have used 12VHPWR since 4000 series came out and none of them had any issues at all, just made their setup look more clean, with much less cable mess

12V-2x6 is backwards comp with 12VHPWR anyway, both will work just fine, which is why Nvidia did not even bother replacing 12VHPWR on SUPER refresh

Those few 4090 that melted worldwide was due to poorly made adaptor or user error (not clicking the cable all the way in)

I already ordered a native 12VHPWR for my old Corsair RM1000x, not going to use an adaptor for sure, 4080 Super will be mine in a week

I reviewed a couple of listed 1000/1200W units in the last year, and all were pretty good. In general, most new FSP PSUs are worth the recommendation, and their prices are not so high. Only the SFX version asks for a refresh, but ATX are fine. By refresh, I mean that on the power design, it's fine, but the cables are unnecessarily long, and the fan is getting louder than expected at 50%+ load. No problems like that with their Hydro series PSUs.

Im seriously considering a hydro ti 1000 as my next unit. FSP is doing a great job of filling the atx 3.0 price to performance void.

The 850 could even be more interesting in idle and load. Plus it’s 40-60$ cheaper ? Wish we had more precise graphs.

Other than the new cable ATX 3.0 is actually more stringent, so...

I have one 850W and have been happy with it. Really want a pro to review it though...

Tbh I don't need a new PS (already have a solid Seasonic px-850) I just want to check out the hydro ti 1000 after seeing our guy Aris' review. It is way expensive, which puts it way down the list of gotta gets anyhow...just have that damn itch!
