    MSI RTX2060 Super burnt capacitors

I desoldered those and tested the card again, seems to work fine but no longer trust it and don't want to risk damaging the rest of the system. I suspect there is corrosion causing a short circuit. Putting this card to bed now.

    MSI RTX2060 Super burnt capacitors

So I dissassembled the card again, and yes the previous picture was for reference only. Near RS2 there is 3 ceramic caps that burned out and also near L21 theres 2 burned caps. Could it be that moisture had built up on the board as there is corrosion on the I/O plate and some of the screws...

    MSI RTX2060 Super burnt capacitors

I bought a MSI RTX 2060 Super Ventus GP second hand and was working perfectly but there was always audio clipping sometimes and occasional lag spikes. Which I thought was my CPU being the bottleneck but with the old trusty 1060 theres none of these issues. Few days ago I started getting games...

Build from used parts - can't figure whats wrong

Maybe pins on the LGA socket is bent or the board is just dead. Had a z97 that wouldn't post that had few bent pins. Definitely check for bad pins and verify the ATX 12V connector is connected.

Windows Start button no longer works after driver install completes

It happened with systems using Intel igpu's (Lenovo E590, E560, L540 etc.) also systems with a Radeon RX550M (Lenovo E590) a GTX 1060 6GB so not a nvcleanstall issue. Generation or model does not matter it happens all the time. This might be something with the Windows UWP platform or the Generic...

Windows Start button no longer works after driver install completes

It happens whenever graphics drivers are installed no matter which gpu vendor this always happens. At work when doing clean installs on the latest WinX build this happens all the time. Just use the Winkey+X and restart from there and it's fixed.

    Z97 Gaming 5 Fan issue

I might have fixed this issue. For some reason the bios defaults to 60% pwm for the case fans at 40C and disables smart fan control. Enabled smart control and set a curve. System is dead silent and fans. So glad the board is fine.

    Z97 Gaming 5 Fan issue

I had one but unfortunately died on me in another build. I live in south africa and these things are hard to come by. It's a really decent board though.

    Z97 Gaming 5 Fan issue

It does that when powering and then slows down. But randomly does the same even when idle - nothing changed in the bios or system, just started doing it yesterday. Will check if the bios settings is correct, don't want any other software that bloats the PC on startup. Really hope the board is OK...

    Z97 Gaming 5 Fan issue

Weird thing is that its just ramping up for 5 seconds to max rpm and then back to normal. Happens with all the fans even the CPU fan. All of them work fine on a 775 board laying around.

    Z97 Gaming 5 Fan issue

Hi, I have a MSI Z97 Gaming 5 that once booted into windows the fans ramp up and down like crazy. No load on CPU or GPU and temps are really low under idle (35C) and under load (>60C). I have the default smart fan controls set in bios and also no overclock on CPU or RAM... It happens randomly...

This looks like a Sapphire HD 7730 to me, have one like this but PCB is blue. Seems someone tried to flash it to a R7 240.

Core 2 Duo - An OC adventure

Seems my G41 hates anything above 350MHz on the FSB. Got my E7500 running at 3.8GHz (345*11)

    Socket 775 Build

Try disabling the Protected Audio/Video Path. Options are "Lite", "Paranoid" or "Disabled". This worked for my P5G41T-M LX. I can see all 8GB of RAM.

Core 2 Duo - An OC adventure

Is there any gains to be had with a E7500 and a ASUS P5G41T LX2 Board? Has anyone got experience on OC'ing the older conroe based C2D's ie the E6850? Got it running at 1333 FSB and stock voltages on everything except VCORE at 1.275v anything more and it would bootloop endless.
