You don't have too, i have a epic store account but have not connected to play the game, sure i have not linked mine. i initially bought it on epic, but prefer to have all my games on steam if possible.

CP2077 is genuinely good now, having finished a second playthrough to cover the Phantom Liberty DLC it's shocking how much better the game is compared to the 1.x versions. If you don't have the DLC I would recommend picking it up now, rather than doing what I did and playing through the game a second time for the DLC; It will only serve to enhance your first playthrough and although the base game is in a great state now, I wish my first encounter with CP2077 could have been the 2.1 version with the DLC.

Overall I’m pretty pleased with CP2077 full and latest (steam) version. Started like a month ago and I’m close to 100hrs.
Playing at 3440x1440 high settings + medium RT + FSR2.1 quality. No visual artifacts. Reflections are in a very high level visually.
There are some bugs still here and there, like small objects (weapons mostly) hanging in mid air, but those are rare.

I could recommend the game easily.

I've given up on PC gaming, everything about it is political and agenda driven, so I'm looking at Japanese and Korean made games for some sort of salvation. I just bought a PS5 for Stellar Blade (on pre-order), will use my PCs for older games instead....

As soon as I finish Frozen Wilds (on PC), I will be buying Forbidden West (most likely on Epic due to them having regional pricing in my country as opposed to Steam). Horizon has been, so far, a very nice surprise to me

You should experiment with traffic a little bit. Good fun

I'm still salty about that change during the development 'Sony paid them or whatever', I mean when the game was announced as Project EvE it was a PC game and now its PS 5 exclusive and who knows whent its coming to PC..
Oh well I'm playing their other cultured game 'Nikke' for 1.5 years now and it just had a big update 1+ day ago so I can get my fix there. 'At some point we are also getting a Stellar Blade collab so at least I can probably get Eve in that game'

I didn't know in the original one you could create side quests for shop items until I played Forbidden West. So many surprises.
