The G10IL will be a sub $500 notebook with three USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet, a VGA connection and built in HSDPA (high-speed downlink packet access). ECS May Enter the High-end Motherboard Market

Elitegroup Computer System (ECS) will change its motherboard strategy this year to focus on more higher-end products, according to Digitimes citing sources at motherboard makers. Due to limited growth in the entry-level market, ECS has recently changed some of its PCB and port layouts to suit higher-end markets while also adding unique functions to its motherboards. With the changes, the company expects to grab a modest share in the mid-range and high-end markets. In a few words we might have new high-end motherboards soon from ECS, which is all good for us.

ECS Offers GeForce 8800GT Dual Turbo With Arctic Cooling S1

Elitegroup Computer Systems or Elitegroup for short released today its latest GeForce 8800GT Dual Turbo graphics card. Compared to other NVIDIA 8800GT competitors, ECS N8800GT Dual Turbo version adopts Arctic Cooling's S1 heatsink. S1 has increased surface of heat dissipation around thirty times larger than the stock GeForce 8800GT cooling, which makes the cooler extremely efficient. Furthermore, ECS 8800GT Dual Turbo Version Graphics Card is equipped with two high performance low-noise fans. According to ECS, this type of cooling lowers the operating temps under load vastly, from 91°C for the regular cooling down to 64°C for the AC S1 GeForce 8800GT Dual Turbo. Temps are measured while running 3DMark05.
