HyperX Increases DRAM Density With New Impact SODIMM DDR4 Lineup

HyperX has launched their Impact lineup of DDR4 DRAM, which boasts of high memory densities per stick for space-constrained setups such as laptops or SFF PCs. The new Impact SODIMMs are available in capacities up to 32 GB per stick, which should make possible for users to install up to 64 GB of DDR4 RAM in their system. All Impact SODIMM operate at 1.2 V, thus enabling relatively low power consumption.

Available operating frequencies stand at 2400 MHz (15-15-15); 2666 MHz (16-18-18); 2933 MHz (17-19-19); and 3200 MHz (20-22-22) - timings are slightly loose, but that's to be expected at these densities and, most importantly in space and/or cooling-constrained environments, voltage. HyperX Impact SODIMMs are available in single modules, dual channel kits, and quad channel kits. MSRP starts at $77 for a 16 GB module running at 2400 MHz, and apparently tops out at $358.99 for 2x 32 GB modules at 3200 MHz.

GIGABYTE Intros IMB410TN Thin Mini-ITX Motherboard

GIGABYTE today introduced the GA-IMB410TN, a Thin Mini-ITX Socket LGA1200 motherboard based on the Intel H410 chipset. Designed for compact desktops and all-in-one desktops, the IMB410TN is designed to draw power from a 2-pin external DC power source. It supports processors with TDP of up to 65 W (and perhaps power limited to 65 W). The processor is wired to a pair of DDR4 SODIMM slots for up to 64 GB of dual-channel memory; and a PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot.

Storage connectivity includes an M.2-2280 slot, and two SATA 6 Gbps port. Other slots include an mPCIe 3.0 x1, an mSATA 6 Gb/s, and an M.2 E-key slot for WLAN cards. Other connectivity relevant to the board's AIO desktop credentials include LVDS connectors, GPIO, and a suite of jumpers, sensors, and headers meant for all-in ones. Networking is care of two 1 GbE connections driven by Intel-made controllers, and a 6-channel HD audio solution driven by a Realtek ALC887 codec. The company didn't reveal pricing.

Zeal-All Releases H310C Motherboard with Integrated GTX 1650

In a followup to a post a few days ago about Zeal-All's LGA1151 B150 motherboard with an integrated GTX 1050 Ti, it seems Zeal-All has released a newer board based on the H310 chipset with an integrated GTX 1650. The Zeal-All ZA-KB1650 shares a lot of similarities with the aforementioned ZA-SK1050 both with both featuring an integrated NVIDIA GPU, laptop SODIMMs, 19 V dc power, and no PCI-E expansion slots. The new Zeal-All ZA-KB1650's H310C chipset supports 6th - 9th generation Intel Core processors which is very impressive indeed.

The Zeal-All ZA-KB1650 continues the trend of non-standard form factors with a size of 234.95 mm x 197.48 mm, rear I/O consists of 19 V DC Power Input, HDMI, DisplayPort, 3x LAN (POE), 4x USB 3.0 and Mic-In/Line-Out. CES 2019: A Closer Look at Patriot's SSDs, Memory, and Flash Drives

A quick trip to see Patriot at CES 2019 netted us a chance to look over a massive number of products from SSDs and DDR4 memory, to flash drives and Micro SD cards. In general, when it comes to anything memory or storage related they had everything but the kitchen sink on hand. That said, let's start with system memory. To begin with, they had their Signature Line on hand which uses a simple black aluminum heatshield and comes in capacities up to 16 GB per module with speeds up to 2666 MHz. For a single 16 GB stick at 2666 MHz the listed the timings at 19-19-19-43. Next was the new Viper Steel DDR4 SODIMMs with capacity that ranged from 8 GB to 32 GB and feature XMP 2.0 support for automatic overclocking. As for speeds they top out at 3000 MHz for these kits. Next up was the Viper RGB memory which comes in speeds of up to 4133 MHz and with timings listed at 19-21-21-41. They are also compatible with motherboard RGB sync applications and have been tested on the latest Intel and AMD platforms. Last but not least were the Viper Steel kits which top out at 4400 MHz with 19-19-19-39 timings.

AAEON Announces BOXER-6841M Edge-AI PC
