Radeon X1950XTX

Picture says all:

Looks like a redesigned HSF is coming too. I wonder what ATI will come up with, as since the X850, all its high end cards have a similar heatsink.

sweet! but a X1900XTX currently uses around ~120W+ while the 7900GTX uses ~95W...I wonder how much this puppy will use...hopefully less, as it is 80nm...but I am guessing it is still going to use 120W or so...They are basically one step ahead of NVIDIA. NVIDIA did their "speed bump" already with their 7800GTX to 7900GTX, now ATI is doing the same...

Then the crossfire cards...mucho dinero if you want one. I am personally not considering ATI until they include crossfire support on die...

Still nice card! will surely yield some nice performance, and will be faster than the 7900GTX...

cheers

Heatsink looks the same on the outside... just black. Maybe a heatpipe or two on the inside?

I know how you feel man, but from rumors I've heard its just an x1900xt(x) with a shrunken process size, so it can reach higher clocks and run cooler. So if you were able to clock your x1900xt(x) to x1950xt(x) speeds, it would be basically the same, if the rumors I've heard are true.

Yeah, there are quite a bit of punctuation errors on the pic. Probably April fools. Wasn't the core supposed to be R580+?Well, I'm not going to make a new computer until Vista comes out and I'll get HDCP monitors.I wouldn't ever buy a card over $400 though unless I graduate as a Pharmacist and get rich. just try to get a card that's highly overclockable/unlockable like the GTO2 but for Vista.
