Gigabyte Ready with GA-890GPA-UD3H Motherboard

Gigabyte is ready with its first motherboard based on the AMD 890GX + SB800 chipset. The GA-890GPA-UD3H supports socket AM3 AMD Athlon II and Phenom II series processors, including support for AMD's upcoming six-core processors. The CPU is powered by a 5-phase VRM, it is wired to four DDR3 DIMM slots to support dual-channel memory with speeds of over DDR3-1866 MHz by overclocking. The AMD 890GX northbridge embeds a faster DirectX 10.1 compliant integrated graphics with display connectivity including DVI, D-Sub, and HDMI (with 7.1 audio pass).

Expansion slots include two PCI-Express 2.0 x16 (electrical x8/x8 when both are populated), three PCI-E x1, and two PCI. The new SB800 southbridge gives out six SATA 6 Gb/s ports. An additional Gigabyte GSATA2 controller gives out two SATA 3 Gb/s ports and an IDE connector. An NEC-made USB 3.0 controller further provides two external USB 3.0 ports (color-coded blue), next to a number of USB 2.0 ports. 8-channel audio with Dolby Home Theater support, and gigabit LAN make for the rest of it. The board seems to make use of the Ultra Durable 3 Classic construction. Expect the board to be out later this year.

suraswamiThat board with heavily OCed 965 or six-core cpu with 6 power hungry GPUs will blow either my rooms fuse or neighbour's fuse whenever that thing starts up
Kitkatrofl Ive broken ground on a small power-plant next to my house and employed the people in my neighborhood to work at it. So i should be ok lol. I promised id help put jobs back in the community, so im doing it.
I'm going to go out "limb" here and say it's a safe bet that anyone who has the money for 3 or more graphics cards, isn't going to be running them on an AMD platform, I mean yeah it would be cool, and I would like to see it, but when your spending that kind of money it makes little sense to grab the more or less second or third best CPU, to bottle neck the hardware.

*waits for the flames to begin*

Man, I was about to purchase a 790GX tonight! Came into the mobo section to post up if I should get Gig's 790XT or the 790GPT, and then I find this!

Now the problem that arises is: When the HELL is this (or any other 6-core capable board) coming out? "Later this year" doesn't really help much :( I'm clearly looking to upgrade right this moment, from this aged to hell S939, and I don't know how much longer I'd like to wait :\ I've been meaning to spend this XMas money and between missing deals and finding out the X2 550 C3 stepping isn't a BE but the 555 IS, yet not finding it available in the US yet... I'm just at my wits end on waiting lol

So seriously, will it be out in a month? Or is it going to be 2+ longer? :(

EDIT: The page in the other thread you closed mentions it having the SB850, versus your SB800... Do we know which is correct?
