ECS unveils details on mATX AM2 board using Xpress 1100 chipset
The still unannounced chipset from ATI will be used on the ECS mATX board. It will sport a AM2 socket, DDR2 800MHz support. The onboard graphic card is a X300 with up to 256MB memory. It also has a PCIe x16 slot, a x1 slot and 2 normal PCI slots. The board can host two parallel ATA 66/100/133 peripherals and four SATA units in RAID 0 or 1 configuration. Audio support comes courtesy of a Realtek ALC655 six-channel chip. Expect ATI and NVIDIA to intro AM2 chipsets officially as soon as the CPUs will be launched.
