What's folding about? I've been wondering for a while... Is my PC capable of doing it? I would be glad to help CPU (ChimpPowerUp).

I fixed your error. Also, you PC can fold, yes. If you need any help with config, there are numerous guides and people who can help over in the Folding forum.

Parts of the WCG team will be joining (I will), but I doubt that we will be able to get most people to join

folding uses your CPU/GPU power to help solve various problems, such as cancer.

However, it does load your PC - so it will make heat, noise, and raise your power bill.

Doing it short term for a goal such as this, its not a big deal - i'm likely to join in myself, and help TPU out.

This is something everyone could do. I will definitely attribute as much as possible. 5 computers should be a good start for me.:toast:

Remember, we are looking for additional members for only 20 days+. This is a short term investment in F@H/TPU. Of course, you can stay after the competition if you choose so.;)

I tried a year or so ago to get F@H working but all it did was crash my pc.

Might be the right time to dust it off and try again.

I guess I can't ask my roommates to give me their computers for 20+ days.....but my systems are in of course (as I stated before this was a front page post).

*Mighty Mouse will fold 24/7 on CPU and GPU.

*Quadfather will fold 24/7 on GPU, 20+ hrs. a day on CPU. I will need my anime fix to keep me sane. I can put games on hold for a few weeks.
