FinalWire Announces AIDA64 State of the Art Diagnostic Software
FinalWire Ltd. today announced the immediate availability of AIDA64 Extreme Edition 1.00 software, a streamlined diagnostic and benchmarking tool for home users; and the immediate availability of AIDA64 Business Edition 1.00 software, an essential network management solution for small and medium scale enterprises.
As a descendant of the award-winning AIDA16 and AIDA32 software, and the successor to the widely popular diagnostic utility Lavalys EVEREST, the brand new AIDA64 version leaps forward into the next decade by introducing a collection of 64-bit processor and memory benchmarks, an enhanced 64-bit system stress test module, and a further expanded hardware database.

New and Enhanced Benchmarks
Besides introducing 64-bit variants of its proven memory and processor benchmark methods, AIDA64 implements an optimized ZLib data compression benchmark and an enhanced set of fractal computational floating-point benchmarks. It also adds a new CPU benchmark method to determine cryptographic hash value calculation performance. All AIDA64 processor benchmarks are now fully ported to 64-bit, scale up to 32 processor cores, and utilize MMX, 3DNow! and SSE instructions to unlock the full potential of modern multi-core Intel and AMD processors.
Solid-state drive support
AIDA64 further extends its exhaustive hardware database by adding 300 solid-state drives (SSD), making the database count over 115,000 entries total. On top of the usual ATA auto-detect information the new SSD database enables AIDA64 to display flash memory type, controller model, physical dimensions, and data transfer performance data. The new AIDA64 version also implements SSD-specific SMART disk health information for Indilinx, Intel, JMicron, Samsung, and SandForce controllers.
Improved stress testing, alerting and hardware monitoring features
The popular System Stability Test module is now ported to 64-bit to put the most demanding workload on both the system memory and all available CPU cores. Overheating, over-voltage, and cooling fan alerts are now fine-tunable with alert sound and emergency application launch. The real-time hardware monitoring module was further improved by adding Intel QST 2.0, Koolance TMS-200, and DIMM thermal sensor device support.

also i know you can use the screen on the G15 with everest (AIDA64) anyone know if theres a way to set up say a seperate 17" screen for everest instead of G15 screen
Name change, IMHO, is partly because they are no longer Lavalys...
OSD might work for other monitor....

Oh, and I have used it on many pcs, but have not violated the EULA, becuase I never installed it. ;)
However, if we take the scenario of "Jack" owning a desktop computer, and also a notebook and a netbook as well, when he buys a single license, in most cases he wouldn't use AIDA64 on multiple computers in the same time. Yes, he may install it on all 3 computers, but since he's only a single guy, he will only utilize one license at once. I personally see nothing wrong with that.
And anyway, we don't have a system in place to verify how many times a single license is installed, so you can abuse the "system" if you want :)
We're not greedy BTW, we'd be very happy to sell only one license per every power-user in the world :D
a. Claim that your words are not an official stance of the company or that you had no authority to make such a claim.
b. Using the nice DMCA law locate a forum post where the accused posted that they have it installed on more than one system or simply go to court to prove that more than one system has the software in question.
c. Profit
Now some of this may be a stretch, or you could even say I'm a bit paranoid, but considering just how much power companies have via the DMCA I'd rather not gamble on a forum post by some stranger and look to the official license instead.
So you really have a choice and either change the license to reflect that more than one system can be used or not. For myself, until that license stipulates that I can use it on more than one system I'll use other alternatives that are either cheaper or not as restrictive in their use.

By the way you can use both Everest and AIDA 64 at same time as a Everest user I am evaluating this AIDA 64, like previously stated only one more bench mark other wise it it virtually Identical to Everest
Actually, it's not FinalWire or myself, but Lavalys that may be in a position of violating my intellectual property rights. My lawyers will analyse the situation and they will advise me about the next steps to take.
We'll see how that turns out, but one thing is sure: you will see AIDA64 to evolve, and time will tell what happens to Lavalys and EVEREST.
