NVIDIA GeForce 270.51 BETA Software Suite Released, Big Changes

NVIDIA today released version 270.51 BETA GeForce software suite. The application installs the latest recommended drivers for NVIDIA GeForce GPUs (6-series and above), CUDA, PhysX, and 3DVision software, NVIDIA HDMI audio drivers, and related software. With this release, NVIDIA also introduced an automatic driver update feature. To begin with, GeForce 270.51 WHQL introduced performance improvements in a wide range of games, including SLI performance for the games covered.

Performance improvements are tabled below. Apart from optimizing pure performance NVIDIA also packed a large number of 3D Vision and SLI performance profiles that are game-specific, and step up multi-display 3D Vision Surround gaming performance. While these drivers aren't WHQL-signed, NVIDIA doubts it will hurt to try them out.

At the very beginning when your family is escaping lothering I was getting 10FPS with my GTX 470 on the 267.24 drivers, if you run a quick search on the net you will see many people had terrible FPS, the only way to get playable FPS was to use a modded inf with the GTX 550 Ti drivers 267.59, I believe other later drivers only available to certain GPU's had similar effect, but this one was the one everyone seemed to recommend, after switching to those my FPS jumped from 10 to 15-17 FPS, and with the current 270.51 its 20-23FPS at the very beginning.

This is with everything maxed out, with the texture pack installed and DX11 enabled at 1920x1200.
My god thats unplayable for me at that res. Id turn down AA and AF

Tried with the 267.24, went to about 12FPS then, as far as the 20-23FPS, I've heard that it's higher in most other places, so like playing Crysis maxed, if not ill kill the AA.

Tonight, I got a BSOD 0x0000003b error. Web search indicates graphic driver.

Has anyone else had any issues similar to this?

I haven't, but steam and some steam games have been "crashing" on exit. Or at least, windows thinks they crashed and gives me a little error message. They seem to exit just fine to me though lol

I think that happened even before the driver update though.

Had to go back to 266.58. Brought BFBC2 down to 40s-30s and lower from locked @ 60. Can't have that while I'm going for 50.
