OCZ Announces SD “Dual” Memory Cards

OCZ Technology Group, Inc., a worldwide leader in innovative, ultra-high performance and high reliability memory, today announced their exciting new SD "Dual" series. Eager to take their premium Secure Digital memory to the next level, OCZ's unique SD Dual cards introduce the ultimate convenience of an SD card and USB adaptor in one unit. Unlike conventional SD memory, OCZ SD Dual converts into a high-speed USB 2.0 connector eliminating the need for an independent card reader to transfer or view pictures or data on any PC.

OCZ SD Dual appears to be an average flash card at first glance but with a quick removal of the protective cover, the card is ready to plug directly into any USB port.

"To make it easier than ever for consumers to transfer data from their digital cameras and SD-based consumer devices, OCZ is introducing the new SD "Dual" card," commented Alex Mei, VP of Marketing, OCZ Technology, Inc. "The 'Dual' combines both SD and USB drive functionality into one easy-to-use card making it faster than ever before to access images and data."

The high-speed SD Dual cards are ideal for today's more advanced higher resolution digital cameras that require exceptionally fast memory to capture and store images and video. OCZ SD Dual cards will be available in 1GB - 2GB capacities with high speed 80X read-rates.

OCZ's commitment to quality carries on into their flash memory series; all OCZ SD Dual Cards come backed with a Lifetime Warranty for unparalleled peace of mind.

Sandisk has this, and I own it. It is flimsy after a while...
