Genius Releases the SW-G2.1 3000 Gaming Speakers
Genius, a leading manufacturer of computer peripherals, today announces their biggest and baddest GX Gaming Series 2.1 speaker system yet - the SW-G2.1 3000.
Raising the GX Gaming Series to a new level, this 70 watt RMS speaker system includes the GX series loudest subwoofer at 6.5-inches providing 40 watts of heart-thumping bass, two 15 watt curvaceous satellite speakers, and a separate control box for easy adjustment of volume and bass. The subwoofer, speakers, and control box can be placed to maximize the acoustics and layout of any room while still having volume and bass control at your fingertips.Using 3-inch metal cones, the SW-G2.1 3000 satellite speakers play middle to high range audio vividly and vibrantly. The audio from the satellite speakers complement the deep, rich bass of the wooden cabinet subwoofer pounding out frequencies as low as 35 Hz. Able to achieve high volumes at low distortion, the Genius SW-G2.1 3000 speaker system can help keep the party going all night as well as provide the full spectrum of sound for games, movies and music.
Not only does the control box make volume and bass adjustments simple and easy no matter where the speakers are located, but on the front it has a headphone and microphone jack for private listening and chatting while gaming. The rear of the control box includes more connections, increasing the flexibility of the SW-G2.1 3000. The 3.5 mm standard input allows for instant hookup to PCs and external audio devices such as MP3/CD players, and the two RCA jacks are designed for connections to game consoles, DVD players and TVs.
Offering booming bass, crisp middle to high range sound, and the flexibility to connect to gaming, music, and other entertainment devices, the SW-G2.1 3000 speaker system epitomizes the high-quality that the GX Gaming Series represents in a louder more versatile design.

ONKYO HT-S3500 5.1-Channel Home Theater System
all you need to do is use one of the HDMi ports from your graphics card and let the reciever do all the work
remote control, radio, headphone out, iPhone support, Burr-Brown DAC, Master DTS/TrueHD decoding, Amplifier, 4x HDMI 1.4a, legacy I/O, etc. it won't take up any space inside your computer and you can hook up a PS3, XBOX 360, PC, TV/Monitor.
On another note with powering speakers, i've seen speakers that require a power plug for EACH SPEAKER! (I think they were Definitive's).
as for the z906 logitech, i'd rather had the z-5500 anyway... the sub is smaller in the newer model (though the same power rating) 8in vs 10in i think and the control deck looks cheaper on the newer model as well. edit: actually the sub is weaker too, 165w vs 188w
The Logitech's are both o.k. units for the money, but i still prefer my Yamaha receiver (much more versatile) and some good DIY speakers to the Z5500 or Z906.
