First Devices Based on AMD Z-Series APUs Arrive in November
AMD is eyeing a slice of the Windows 8 tablet pie with its Z-Series "Hondo" dual-core x86-64 APU, which was launched earlier this week. According to sources among Taiwan-based notebook makers, the first devices based on the chips will arrive as early as this November. The company, however, did not disclose design wins or the companies working on products around its chip. AMD Z-60 will face off with Intel's recently-launched Atom Z2760 dual-core chip, designed for the same class of devices. Built on the 40 nm "Brazos 2.0" silicon, the Z-60 packs two x86-64 cores, and Radeon HD 6250 DirectX 11 graphics. Its TDP is just 4.5W.

Speaking of phones... I think they should go back to the type of screens used on say the GBA SP. where you could see it just fine in outdoor light or decent indoor light, and then turn on the backlight when needed, or dim it.
And it looks like with this thermal design, they will hit the smart phones...
i'm already acknowledged that,i'm just make fun of him
well,GBA only have 99ppi on it's 240x160 3:2 2,9 inch screen. It's just an ordinary TN panel with anti glare coating.Compare to most smartphone thesedays , whose had organic LED and corning gorilla glass coating capable > 200ppi Unlikely.Major smartphone player now moving towards full set sub pixel while pushing higher resolution in their screen, that's like having a 24 inch $100++ IPS panel with full range gamut capability in your palm ;)
