New 3rd Generation Orange OPC Upgraded

Orange Amplification has upgraded the multi-award winning state-of-the-art Orange Personal Computer to the 3rd Gen Intel i7 processor and doubled the maximum 8 GB of RAM to a massive 16 GB. The 3rd Gen Intel i7 processor has up to twice the HD Media and 3-D graphics performance and delivers stunning visual experiences from mainstream gaming to HD video editing. Creating and editing videos and photos, surfing the Web, watching HD movies or playing mainstream games are now quicker, crisper and more life-like. Excellent piece of art. Must have. Had to read twice. It's one-in-all Amp + PC and looks great. I love the orange color and my guitar will hopefully love it as well. Reminds me to ancient mini bellow boxes for e-guitar.

Just had a look on their webside. This little diamond is not cheap, if you want the maximum.

Other thoughts: How will it cope with the extreme noise i.e. acoustic waves? Might result in interferences and damage the pc hardware. Not sure.

Orange has that classic British sound, love it to death. you won't be disappointed.

Orange not me... I'd like it in a Carbon Fiber like the Marshall MG series. And is this a actual "amplification device" that can drive some 4x12 speaker cabinet, or a computer in in a amp box? Would be cool to run some electric guitar effects software and a drive like an internal 15W speaker or a cabinet.

Yes, but no. It is a complete amp/speaker combo, with PC as well. It cannot power external speakers, only the onboard speaker, but it does include a line-out so you can connect it to a mixer for larger sound. It has everything you need to play and record music on the built-in PC, without any other external devices, other than a monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

Looks great in a your music chamber. Nice equipment. Didn't imagine the amp is that big. Thought it's only quarter that size. Would be great if one could get just the amp and the orange case and build the PC stuff in by oneself.
Will have to wait until my amp store has one to check the sound, because i've a frameworks midi guitar with nylon strings, i.e. a classical guitar with a build-in pick-up/midi interface.

That is not the same unit, the amp under the speaker there is basically what you get, but there is a set of Stereo 6.5-inch speakers in the OPC, not that big box you see in the picture there.

Well, the Tiny Terror you see in my pic there is Orange's smallest tube-based unit.(maybe they have something new, but not that I know of). As far as I understand it, the guts from that are inside the OPC, but I might be mistaken.

I've used an OPC, it still offers that same sound that the amp I have offers. Pretty incedible, really.

Other than that, it's just a mITX rig with audio I/O interface built-in. Great for students or those with small studios. I've now got a full drum kit and other stuff in my basement, and the Tiny Terror is perfect for that.

And yeah, NAMM today.
