Mad Catz Announces S.T.R.I.K.E. 3 Professional Gaming Keyboard for Windows PC

Mad Catz Interactive, Inc. announced today the S.T.R.I.K.E.3 Professional Gaming Keyboard for Windows PC. Expected to ship fall 2013, the S.T.R.I.K.E.3 has been designed with the competitive gamer in mind, offering an impressive feature set and a unique membrane key-bed designed to offer the full tactile feedback of mechanical keys but without the excessive noise or the need to 'bottom out' the keys.

"The S.T.R.I.K.E.3 demonstrates our commitment to providing gamers with a product range that meets their budgets and exceeds their expectations," said Darren Richardson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mad Catz Interactive. "Our range of S.T.R.I.K.E. keyboards has captured the imagination of passionate gamers and we are pleased to expand the range with the S.T.R.I.K.E.3."
The S.T.R.I.K.E.3 features a full RGB backlit key-bed, capable of displaying up to sixteen million customizable colors. In addition to full media controls and a removable wrist-rest, the S.T.R.I.K.E.3 features a total of twelve macro keys and three separate modes of operation, providing a total of thirty-six programmable buttons.

The S.T.R.I.K.E.3 will be available in gloss black, gloss white and gloss red colors.

the red one is quite horrendous.

If any i would probably only buy the black one.

They really seem to focus on the extra useless things i would say and not on the actual specs.

Not mechanical. Only membrane keyboards I like are the Roccat ones, for their intense featureset that is actually useful.
These new keyboards developed from the heavily overpriced (and also not mechanical) STRIKE 7 are full of gimmicks, shiny colours, and clearly not catered to most gamers who are specifically looking for a nice mechanical keyboard.

Yeah waiting for the release the Ryos, how ever with me being left handed this one did catch my eye with the extra keys next to the arrow keys..

Well If the Ryos had these extra keys and actually thought about left handed people with the thumb keys then it be the ultimate keyboard :P. So a shame they were a little short sighted.. But still i will get one at soon as it hits the shelf you will just see a shadow were it nearly was placed.

With this one it does fail when this is said providing a total of thirty-six programmable buttons

And which keys are those ?.. If ya going do a programmable keyboard do a programmable keyboard dammit..
