Acer Announces FT200HQL Touchscreen Monitor

Acer America is now offering its FT200HQL 20-inch class LED-backlit display with 10-point capacitive touch for consumers in the United States for an affordable price of $199. The ergonomic design provides an excellent Windows 8 experience for a wide range of environments.

The new monitor displays bright and clear images for enjoying digital photography, online shopping, social media and movies. The 19.5-inch screen size is large enough for the comfortable viewing of most applications, yet compact enough for multi-monitor setups and space-constrained areas. Windows 8 compliant, it enables users to take advantage of the user-friendly features in Windows 8 with a 10-point multi-touch screen, whether using a new PC or an old PC upgraded to the new operating system.
To make the most of the capacitive-touch capabilities, the display is VESA wall-mountable and its stand enables users to view images tilted back from 10 - 90 degrees for optimum comfort and ergonomics. This tilt feature is especially beneficial for touch-friendly activities like playing games, viewing photo albums and cookbooks as well as Web surfing.
"The Acer FT200HQL is a great choice for consumers or small businesses wanting an affordable and compact touch display for making the most of Windows 8 touch capability," said Frank Chang, director of product management for Acer America. "Our newest touch display provides excellent image quality, intuitive touch and comfortable ergonomics. Its compact frame is a great size for multi-monitor set-ups, while the wide viewing angles enhance collaboration with others."

HD+ Resolution, Wide Viewing Angles
The beautiful 19.5-inch non-glare screen emits clear and vivid images with an HD+ maximum native resolution of 1600x900 and a fast 5ms response time. It also provides wide viewing angles up to 170 degrees horizontally and up to 160 degrees vertically. The impressive 100,000,000:1 contrast ratio provides excellent gradation of bright whites and dark blacks for crisp, luminous visuals.

User-Friendly Capacitive Touch
The 10-point capacitive touch technology is intuitive and simple to use. Opening documents just requires a tap on the screen, while two fingers are all that's needed to scroll through web pages, documents, play lists and photo albums. Users can also rotate, expand or reduce images to the size desired.

Offering an array of connectivity options, the FT200HQL is outfitted with VGA, two HDMI ports and is compatible with an MHL wireless adapter. It also has built-in dual speakers.

LED-backlit, it reduces energy costs by consuming less power than standard CCFL-backlit displays. ENERGY STAR and TCO qualified, it adheres to strict environmental, performance and ergonomic design standards.

Pricing and Availability
The Acer FT200HQL 20-inch class display is available now at leading online retailers in the U.S. with suggested prices starting at $199. Like all Acer displays, it features a standard three-year warranty.
