Someone at Palit is confused with all those models
I bet it was meant to say KalmX there.
LOL^ This of course wasn't meant to be posted, but techpowerup keeps the text from previous drafts. Indeed.

The card is shown at 1:45
Mine right now are silent with the fan at 45%. This is on the stock evga option which is almost silent to extremely quiet till 55% fan. This is with 35c ambient, 1250mhz overclock, and the core temps being 60c.
When I overclock to the max I only get to 65c.
Put a 5-7 dB/A ultra-quiet fan onto it, an other one to an i5 with a similarly huge sink, and you have a decent htpc which will work fine even on the hottest sunny days, while it's silent and you can sleep next to it. I see nothing wrong with that tbh.
The press release is obviously referencing both of Palit's proprietary designs. The company has two variations on the same card, they are simply referencing the StormX to PR-piggyback the newer card.
This is a StormX. I see no passive cooling and no 0db design EDIT: And I just noticed those two errors in bold that are still on Palit's page with the announcement. Someone was in a hurry when writing this PR.
Are they shipping yet?
