Amazon.co.uk restocks Nintendo Wii

When the Nintendo Wii first went on sale on Amazon.co.uk, they sold out of pre-orders in less than 10 minutes. On the official day of release, Amazon.co.uk sold all their stock in roughly seven minutes. An official letter from the Amazon.co.uk team that was delivered to people interested in the Wii confirms that Amazon got a lot more Nintendo Wiis.
Dear Nintendo fan,

Great news! We've managed to get our hands on some more Wii consoles and will be putting them on sale between 3pm and 4pm today (Friday, December 8).
Last time we sold out in 7 minutes and we expect this batch to go even more quickly.
Nintendo sold 600,000 consoles in just 8 days in the US, so you can bet that the Nintendo Wii is THE must-have item of 2006.
The wait is almost over!
See the launch line-up
Sincerely,
Amazon.co.uk Video Games Team
While Amazon.co.uk can't confirm how many it has or how long it will have them, they do know that the Wii is currently in stock.

This proves my earlier comment on Vid cards, etc. which said this:

"The only reason many companies can get premium prices for their products is because the online shills hype the products until gullible sheep falsely believe they can't live without this product. Then they pay thru the nose for something they don't need but feel they can't live without. See the Xbox, Wii, Ipod, cellphone, PC, and a million other hyped products that almost no one needs, but many believe they can't live without."

How did the world manage without these toys?

Todays society essentially requires access to a computer. While you may be able to live without an xbox and wii, I completely disagree with the PC comment. Computers are not "hyped" products. The fancy performance based components , yes, but without access to a computer, many things are extremely difficult, if not impossible to accomplish. And spare me the "well you can get by being a laborer or some type of migrant worker" example. Computers are not seen as "toys", and haven't been for quite some time.

Well Argos decided that they would accept more pre-orders than they could take - I was even told over the phone that it would be dispatched on the 8th then they phoned me on the 7th and claimed they hadn't been given as many as they thought they could - that's BS, they just over sold them. How nice of them to send me my two games anyway.
