You know, I bet that some idiot will try plugging it into their own computer, thinking it will just make Windows Vista have all the XP stuff on it. And then he gets an error message saying "you idiot next time don't format before installing Vista" :p. Then again, when was the last time a computer transfered stuff to itself via USB?

google for usb networking and find cables that do the same thing for under half the price... not to mention ive never actually used one but i think its just a male to male usb cable that crosses over tha data pins so it would be very easy to make.

This absolutely makes no sense to me. Are they saying existing USB cables wont be compatible with Windows Vista?

no, they're just trying to make you pay a not insubstantial ammount of money for something you probably already have, or could easily acquire or make yourself for about one-tenth the price...

So, what you all are saying is I don't need some fancy whiz-bang cable to transfer programs (quickbooks, etc) to my new laptop correct? Any suggestions as to the type of cable to get? Thanks
