EVGA Introduces Their Latest G1+ Power Supplies

The EVGA SuperNOVA G1 power supplies have been among the longest-lasting and best-performing power supplies on the market. Despite only a few changes over the years, it's only fitting that it's time for an upgrade. Enter the G1+, the new and improved fully-modular power supply line-up from EVGA with an 80+ Gold Efficiency rating.

Additionally, the G1+ power supplies feature a cleaner internal layout to increase airflow, a Variable Resistor module (to increase voltage stability), two DC to DC modules for more efficient power switching on all models, a full suite of power supply protections, and EVGA's World-Leading Global 10-Year Warranty on all G1+ power supplies.
When it comes to building a system, even the smallest differences can make or break your build. Each G1+ power supply is between 10mm to 20mm shorter than its G1 counterpart, giving you more space without sacrificing quality.

Key Features
  • Shorter Length - Up to 20mm shorter than G1.
  • Quieter and Longer Lasting Fan - Fluid Dynamic Bearing for the ultimate in quiet operation and long life operation.
  • Tighter 12V Load Regulation for clean and stable power.
  • Up to 22% Quieter Under Load
  • 10 Year EVGA Warranty

Seriously EVGA, how many thousand lines of PSUs do you need? Can't you just let the G1 die quietly rather than keeping it alive for the next 5 years before creating the G1++ series

What is the difference between G1+ and G3? Fan size or something? Both are modular with 10yr warranty.

G1 is a mediocre built PSU, mainly for budget. In terms of performance and build quality it lacks compared wit G2/G3
Seasonic Focus Plus would be the choice to take over the G3 (made by seasonic, main problem is the ECO fan and lack of zero fan noise)

G3 is made by Superflower. I thought the whole G/P/T line was actually. Isn't gq line FSP?

G1 has always been FSP(since supernova NEX days). But yeah you are right GQ is FSP too and I thought they got their naming scheme sorted out with GS being Seasonic, G# being Superflower and GQ FSP(for gold that is). But by the looks of this, it most probably is FSP as it's predecessor G1.

I know for sure g2 is based on the superflower leadex gold, i do not know for the g3 though. The leadex gold line is a pretty well build psu, maybe the focus gold from seasonic is better but it has its flaws.

G3 is also made by SuperFlower. It is based on Leadex II platform according to Jonnyguru.

It's more of less nitpicking. All of the mentioned power supplies here, including the G1, are far from bottom of the barrel.

That does not make it good and its loose voltage regulation makes your system less stable and is holding overclocking back
You get what you pay for in this case
