Bethesda Readies Appetites for Quakecon With a Catalog Sale on Steam, Bethesda.net
Bethesda has taken it to Steam's platform to throw around a sale party that looks to whet appetites for their legendary Quakecon. They're doing this sale on a platform which, by the way, won't be the home for Fallout 76 and possibly other, future titles from the company. But that is neither here nor there; this here is for users to be able to snag an awesome deal on what are definitely some of the better games in the industry.
The discounts range from 25% (for the recently released Prey Mooncrash DLC, for example) all the way to 75% (for games such as Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel and the original Fallout), but most games are seeing a 50% mark-down from their current pricing. If you have any extra money you weren't counting on and some Bethesda games on your wishlist, now might be the best time to get the ball rolling.

We dont want another fucking launcher. There are too many already.
Sincerely,
Everyone on the fucking planet.
Fare~thee~well
Now you get Fallout Rust on their launcher.
If they were releasing the sequel Skyrim on the new platform then maybe - but they're already releasing a conceptually 'meh' game AND they're adding an extra launcher to that??
Maybe it's on purpose for when Fallout 76 doesnt sell - then they can be like "oh well... clearly it was this new launcher... "
by the way Bethesda , wheres them Linux clients for these so called id games ? the real id software offered them , oh. that's right your the fake id software and steams good buddy [ sorry ]
Steam nowadays reminds me of Google play store. A games filter and full of crap where the good quality products are hidden.
there getting away from the likes of steam is because now they collect all your info and data , see they just realized to cut that middle man out [steam ] out side of that nothing really changed [opinion]
eventually they will be like "if you want to sell for XBOX you have to sell on M$ store."
Done... no more steam, no more blizzard, no more origin. So tired of all of these launchers.
but also steam toxic content and toxic player and account holders make the place a desert sometimes....
Also such PUBG, CSGO toxic online matches and some others without options to report several things like toxic players or adding a better player classification scheme is making the whole platform worse, banned accounts, phishing and plenty more awful situations might be root of evil with some developers, that preffer to be left alone to start a new platform, im glad for'em cuz everyone needs a chance to overcome, but im afraid this will be Bethesda ends
Regards,
In my opinion, part of the reason the PC gaming community has become bolstered as of late is due to Steam and all of Steam's auxiliary services (such as Steam link, voice chat, and steam achievements). Steam has provided a central hub for all PC gamers. Now all these launchers are coming along, and big publishers are removing their content. This just fragments the PC gaming community, and sends it back to the 00s decade and previous.
Why buy any of their games during this sell at this point if they will begin to stop supporting the Steam platform? Other than to possibly convince them to stay.
They're saying immersive simulation is dead with the announcement that there's no plans for a Dishonored 3. I decided to buy now (paying more than I usually would) because I want to reverse that line of thinking.
I’m hoping the next Elder Scrolls at least will be on Steam. If it’s on Bethesda.net, no sale either. I’ll miss out on future Wolfenstein releases too, I guess.
I wish one day I don´t have to use steam anymore. Right now I barely use it (Football Manager). Gog and battle net are so much better. But..... skins and trades!!!!
The launcher hate really belongs on this thread, not a thread about a sale.
we are fed up with giving 30% of our revenue to Steam.
We couldn't care less that Steve Jobs found 30% cut to be appropriate.
Sincerely,
Bethesda, Epic Games, Activision Blizzard, Ubisoft, EA Uh, what? There is nothing like gog, from which you can download game installer using a freaking browser, disconnect from the internet and enjoy your game.
