EVGA Rolls Out the GeForce GTX 1660 for Zero Compromise Gaming

The EVGA GeForce GTX 1660 Graphics Cards are powered by the all-new NVIDIA Turing architecture to give you incredible new levels of gaming realism, speed, power efficiency, and immersion. With the EVGA GeForce GTX 1660 Graphics Cards you get the best gaming experience with next generation graphics performance, ice cold cooling and advanced overclocking features with the all new EVGA Precision X1 software.

First HDB fan on an NVIDIA graphics card optimizes airflow, increases cooling performance, and reduces fan noise by 15%, compared to more commonly-used sleeve-bearing fans on graphics cards. The special upraised 'E' pattern on the enlarged fan allows a further reduction in noise level by 4%. With a brand new layout, completely new codebase, new features and more, the new EVGA Precision X1 software is faster, easier and better than ever.
EVGA GeForce GTX 1660 graphics cards offer you more ways to keep your system cool than ever before. Offering a variety of fan choices, heatsink sizes, and cooling technologies, you can select the card that fits your system perfectly.

EVGA GeForce GTX 1660 2 Slot Cards are longer, but allow for more airflow at slower speeds with two fans. Utilizing a smaller fan hub, these fans feature a longer blade to increase airflow while remaining quiet.

Includes FREE GRIP: Combat Racing Game and a GRIP Exclusive EVGA Vehicle Skin.

Funny to see 'zero compromise' on a cut down, stripped Turing die.

Users want better cooling performance. Every review that doesn't deliver it is slammed with comments like "high temps", "loud fan" etc. There's also the fact that nowadays with video cards (at least nVidia, not sure about AMD) clock speeds directly correspond to temperature, until some other limit is hit. Stick a dinky cooler on one of these cards and clock speeds will be inferior as well.

Does anyone find this card appealing?
Or just appalling!

Yeah, it's only 18-20% faster than a 1060 6GB for about the price of 1060 3GB. Ngreedia strikes again, right? :kookoo:

Pretty sure the 1660 is all about compromises to achieve the price point. Isn't that the whole point of an entry level card, compormise.

Not having to undervolt is a good compromise right away.

Ya think the guy who wrote this press release for EVGA can "take the title" ? Right now the highest score for any individual is "85% of statements are half true or worse".

Zero compromise ... If it doesn't go as fast as the 2080 Ti, I have compromised.
New levels of gaming realism ... more real than 2070, 2080 and 20180 Ti ?
Speed ... more real than 2070, 2080 and 20180 Ti ?
Power ... more power than 2070, 2080 and 20180 Ti ?
Efficiency ... more than any other card on the planet ?
Immersion ... more than any other card ? How is this measured ?
Best gaming experience ..... more than any other card ?
Next generation graphics performance ? Hows the Ray Tracing ?

The MSI is faster .... (keep ya sens eof humor people)
EVGA GTX 1660 XC Ultra 2101 MHz Avg Core Clock / 2500 MHz memory Clock
MSI GTX 1660 Gaming X 2102 MHz Avg Core Clock / 2500 MHz memory Clock

Wait the EVGA got 89.1 fps in the TPU OC test, so it's clearly far superior to the MSI at 89.0 !

MSI uses more power (130 watts) and runs at 68C / EVGA (125)
MSI is 0 dbA at idle / 30 dbA @ load ... EVGA is 0 dbA at idle / 31 dbA @ load ...1 dbA louder OMG !
MSI is 51C Idle / 67C @ load + OC ... EVGA is 44C Idle / 62C @ load + OC ...a ctually that is impressive but it is not "ice cold" so still a "alternative fact"

As for the 1660 itself , it's about 10% faster than the 590 @ 1080p ... with 85 less watts, 87% as loud and 19C cooler... and for about the same price as a decent AIB 590. Secondary savings include $34 a year saved in electricty cost here in NY, required PSU drops a notch in size / cost and one less case fan required ... given the numbers, it makes the 590 irrelevant.

Well nothing about performance that for sure. By the looks three slotter is fat and ugly, XC is okish and by the tpu review great card overall.

Funny how some are taking marketing literally...

Who in their right mind thinks this is based off the die being used and not the components and cooler within the context of other 1660s???? I thought Borg assimilation was to breed a more intelligent collective....we're a comment away from requiring mandatory helmet use for safety... :p
