XIGMATEK Rolls Out ZEUS Arctic Open-air Chassis

XIGMATEK today rolled out the ZEUS Arctic, a new color variant of the ZEUS Spectrum Edition case the company debuted back in October 2019. Most PC hardware companies use the extension "Arctic" to denote a metallic-white or silvery color scheme, and the same is true for the ZEUS Arctic. Most of the sheet metal of the case is matte-white, with contrasting black thumb-screws and standoffs that hold together the dark tinted tempered glass panels on both sides. No fans come included with the case, although XIGMATEK suggests using RGB fans with white frames. The case's polygonal profile allows you to mount up to two 360 mm x 120 mm radiators (along the front and top panels); and two 120 mm rear exhausts. It measures 755 mm x 220 mm x 595 mm (LxWxH). The company didn't reveal pricing.

This is a beast! Jay @ Jayz2cents made a system out of a similar case. Not for everyone, but if you want to do a lot of customizations, there is a lot of room to play with.

Honestly, I liked when Xigmatek were a little more original with their cases. I especially loved their Elysium case, and wish they would bring it back with a variant that was watercooling-oriented; either one that traded all but 2 of the 5.25 bays for a 360mm radiator up front and a 360 up top, or one that converted the 5.25 cages to side-loading 3.5 HDD cages but had a radiator mount behind them, similar to a few earlier "watercooling-ready" cases like Nanoxia's Deep Silence 5/6.

All their newer cases are mostly variations of the usual tempered glass/acrylic side panel cases with RGB fans, or similar, if not outright rebranded, versions of cases manufactured in China for several different "case makers".

Well, I like it overall, but those ugly black thumbscrews & logo gotta go away asap.... then it would be perfect for a "Snowblind" build, which I am planning for later this year or early next...

Apparently the photo lab folks totally missed this point, since they stuffed it full of black components in that 1st pic on the left....tsk tsk tsk....

This and the Cougar look to be the same with minor differences.

The Antec? Much different. The MB on the Antec actually sits at a different angle and is constructed differently than the Other 2, which look like Twins.
