Bomberman is an arcade game, arguably a genre which is most ripe with latency and lag problems. On the other hand, bomberman is relatively slow-paced as an arcade game. When bombs are placed down, there's a very long period before they explode: there's a huge amount of tactical depth and strategy.
Its a good game in my experience, but still one that I'd be wary of lag-spikes.
