Activision Shows Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Campaign Gameplay Video
Activision has released a new 9-minute campaign gameplay video for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, showing off what to expect when the game launches on November 10th. During the reveal, Activision also said that multiplayer gameplay will be showcased on October 5th, at Call of Duty Next event, while the beta will launch on October 6th.
As announced earlier, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is developed by Sledgehammer Games, in cooperation with Infinity Ward, while Treyarch will develop the Zombies mode. Activision also talked a bit more about the so-called Open Combat Missions, stating that "Not only do these complement the cinematic missions you've come to expect, but they also provide you with numerous additional choices regarding your methods of mission completion."Here is the full video from the Gamescom Opening Night Live, and the trailer is below it.

Whatever they do, as long as more people play the new game than the old one, then it's a success.
For sure it's not going to get any cheaper over the long run. Activision will find their way to extract their pound of flesh from CoD players.
