Razer Introduces Viper V3 Pro Esports Gaming Mouse

Razer, the leading global lifestyle brand for gamers, today unveils the apex of esports engineering - the Razer Viper V3 Pro. Crafted in close collaboration with top esports pros, including zekken, Champion and MVP of the recent VALORANT Champions Tour Masters Madrid, this mouse has been battle-tested in the most demanding competitive environments.

"The Viper V3 Pro has transformed my gameplay," said Zachary "zekken" Patrone, Pro VALORANT player for Sentinels. "Its lightweight new design hands me an edge that feels almost unfair. It's a game-changer for esports pros." Redesigned from the inside out to prioritize an ultra-lightweight build and best-in-class performance, the Viper V3 Pro is available in Black and White editions, seamlessly fitting into any competitive setup.
Engineered For Pro Performance
At the core of the Viper V3 Pro, is the Razer Focus Pro 35K Optical Sensor Gen-2, delivering best-in-class precision at 99.8% resolution accuracy. Gamers can now fine-tune control with 1-DPI incremental adjustments and a DPI sensitivity matcher to precisely match the Viper V3 Pro to sensitivity of any other mice they might be previously accustomed to.

Paired with the Razer HyperPolling Wireless Dongle which combines Razer's flagship technologies - Razer HyperSpeed Wireless and Razer HyperPolling Technology, this esports gaming mouse supports up to a true 8000 Hz wireless polling rate, ensuring best-in-class ultra-low-latency responsiveness and flawless performance. As a result, gamers can be assured that every movement and click will be in perfect sync with on-screen actions, even in the most demanding tournament environments.

Validated by Esports Pros in Real Competition
Weighing just 54 g, the Viper V3 Pro underwent a comprehensive redesign based on extensive feedback from pro players. Since October 2023, its prototype has been rigorously tested by over 45 professional players across 5 major tournaments, ensuring its readiness for the most challenging competitive environments. Notable enhancements include larger mouse feet, a smooth touch finish, and a strategically placed DPI button on the underside, along with gap-separated side buttons, to prevent misclicks and enhance gameplay.

"Constant innovation is at the heart of what we do at Razer, especially within the esports arena," said Jeffrey Chau, Razer's Director of Global Esports. "The Viper V3 Pro was born from the invaluable insights of Team Razer's elite esports pros. With its revolutionary shape, lightweight build, and our most advanced technology to date, it is engineered to provide the best precision and speed, enabling gamers to outperform and reach their full potential."

Reliability Meets Sustained Performance
In 2023, Razer set an industry benchmark with the world's first true 8000 Hz wireless polling rate, featuring the lowest wireless click latency at 0.461 ms. The innovative new "auto-change polling rate" feature automatically adjusts the polling rate during gameplay to minimize battery life impact without sacrificing the gaming experience, allowing for up to 95 hours of uninterrupted play. In addition, the Razer Optical Mouse Switches Gen-3 provide a durable 90 million click lifecycle, ensuring speed while eliminating any double-click issues and debounce delay.

In keeping with Razer's commitment to sustainability, the Razer Viper V3 Pro is the first core PC peripheral within its portfolio to incorporate post-consumer recycled plastic (PCR), with its top shell made up of 85% PCR. Razer has successfully overcome the traditional trade-off of weight associated with PCR plastics, resulting in a significant reduction in environmental impact. This innovation aligns with Razer's dedication to high performance without compromising on environmental impact, maintaining the lightweight design and durability that the Viper series is known for in the esports arena.

Razer is also eliminating plastics from packaging, optimizing packaging size with minimalistic designs, and utilizing FSC-certified paper with soy ink to continuously minimize its environmental footprint. Backed by a strong gaming community that is equally passionate about a better future for our planet, Razer is also dedicated to empowering gamers to be part of the solution.

It's not just that - razer is all marketing, there is planned obsolescence built into a random part that will make sure that 6-8months from now you will be looking at their viper 4 pro ultra. Every time I see them get awards here makes me cringe.

The Viper V2 Pro came out on May 2022, so the release cycle for their eSport mouse seems to be on track.

Any recommendations for a white wired mouse? Time to replace my Zowie EC1-A. Going for a white theme this time. I was looking at glorious model D but some reviews mentioned that it flexes and creaks. I don't want to bother with charging that's why wired.

The slightly lighter mouse thing is stupid. It's not like you hold it up in the air, it sits on low friction pads on your desk, you barely push to move it quickly with fingers. The current Viper V2 Pro is roughly the same weight so making it slightly lighter is meaningless. If the battery life or sensor was a lot better I'd consider it just to blow money on something, but it's not. Happily still using my Viper V2 Pro it's a fantastic wireless mouse and got it on sale last year.
