What a load of crap.

Notice the first line of IOGear's disclaimer ...
(Disclaimer: Nano coating properties may not protect users or others against bacteria, viruses, germs, or other disease organisms.
They claim it protects the "product". Who cares ? My keyboard never caught a cold from the bacteria on it.

Pffft ....

That doesn't matter. You can be sick as a dog and the only thing they say will be protected is the "product". Seems pretty reasonable as if they actually said it would help prevent the spread of infection or disease, they would get the pant sued off them when it didn't do diddly.

If you are worried about infection or such, just shut off your computer, spray your keyboard and mouse with Lysol (tm), wait about 10 minutes and get back to fragging.

If you are like me just take a few minutes, once a year or so, and scrape the crud off the keys so you can read them :rockout:

Much cheaper.

Wonder how long such coating will last. Anyways I wipe my mouse with anti-bacterial hand wash from time to time, might just do the same for my keyb for the sake of it. Oh and this kills 99% of germs :)

a new mouse & keyboard set aint exactly that expensive, if ur sick then wouldnt any temp keyboard n mouse do so long as they work? its not as if your going to have a cold forever...

Only buy this keyboard & mouse set if your worried about catching STD's

If you're behind the keyboard and mouse long enough to warrant anti-bacterial coatings, I don't think STDs will ever be a problem for you.
