AMD HD 2900Pro Cards Now Available on Newegg
While we have been hearing rumors of the HD2900Pro for some time now, and AMD has just recently released the card to the public, all that press does no good if customers can't even get the card. Fortunately, American online PC part retailer Newegg thought ahead, and made sure to stock plenty of the HD2900. You can now buy three variants of the 2900Pro, from a Sapphire model with 512MB of VRAM for $265USD, to one with an impressive 1 GB of VRAM for a reasonable $330USD.

I'm about to order number two. The bank should of cleared my check by now.
Then I have to go running around town, and hope that I make it back to the post office in time.
If not it will be the early wake up call to the post office before it closes.
HIS or Sapphire??
512mb or 1gb....I wanna order before they go up $30 (like the xt), or before they're sold out.....
hook a brutha up with some ad-vice
check my specs.
still waiting for agp version :/
I didn't want to wait around with them saying that the 512bus will be limited. Then most likely there will only be 256bus on the market soon.
Well one of them is already at step 3 so no turning back now.
So $60 is worth the extra 512mb, and ddr4 at the higher resolutions...
Well, its ordered 1gb w/ ddr4 and a new dvi cable for hdcp :rockout:
I now have the 512 on the way along with the 1GB......
We will now know which is better!!! I'll try it out before I send it back for 1gb DDR4.
(They better still have them :()
just had my first online Quake wars match, im rather impressed. may pick up a pro later this year or early 08 once i get rid of the current cooling loop for my cpu (its blocking the 2nd pci-e slot :( )
What I do know is that these are HD2900XTs clocked down. With the right cooling it should be just as good.
Oh and which one should I buy Sapphire or HIS, I was thinking HIS since it seem to come with a lot more cabels and such plus some sort of Half Life game which I am hoping is the Black Box not sure though.
I suppose it's too early to know outta the Pro's what manufacturers will be like for overclocking, there is a peice on VR zone that I was reading earlier (at work) saying that half of them will not clock past 650 on the core  Dont know how they come to that conclusion and if its true or just scaremongery.
