I don't think these will perform any better than a 8800GTS G80
I really wanted to get this card, but after looking at the reviews, it overclocks very badly with that 192 bit bus and 96 stream units so I think I will keep what I have

8800GT - $300 and up

$250 and up (pre order/launch)
Give it a month or two and they'll be down to ~$200, which is GREAT for a card with all the features of an 8800 (if not the speed)
There is 8800GTS 320MB going for $184 @ Newegg right now:

EVGA has a 320MB model going for $199, and I saw an ECS 640MB model going for cheap too, but its out of stock. Also, you can still find some 3850 Radeons in stock @TigerDirect for $150.
If they price these neutered cards @ "$169~$179", it will give more incentive to people to go for cheaper ATI alternatives, or go for the older 8800GTS cards. Well, maybe that's the idea, "motivating" people to help them clean old 8800GTS stocks.
hey what u guys have is false i have one of these cards and it runs all my games like a champ i get about 60 fps in oblivion on Ultra High, 120 fps in Doom on Ultra High, and in LOTRO i get about 50 fps with the settings on Ultra High. My comp specs r 8800Gs, P4CederMill 3.0Ghz, and 2GB Corsair DDR400 Ram.
