TUL and AMD Announce the Ultimate Digital TV Experience for European PCs
TUL Corporation - a leading manufacturer of AMD Multimedia cards today has announced the new ATI TV Wonder 600 Hybrid PCI Express and TV Wonder 650 Hybrid PCI enabling the ultimate digital TV experience for European PC owners. Available through TUL(PowerColor brand) across Europe , ATI TV Wonder provides customers with an exceptional digital video recorder for their PC. The TV Wonder family of products is AMD LIVE! ATI TV Wonder 600 Hybrid PCI Express, with a manufacturers suggested retail price (MSRP) of €54 (including VAT), includes a single TV tuner with hybrid functionality allowing users to watch or record DVB-T (Digital Video Broadcasting - Terrestrial) or analog TV via cable, and listen to FM broadcasts. ATI TV Wonder 600 also supports active powered antennas to deliver better reception for improved TV broadcast viewing.
ATI TV Wonder 650 Hybrid PCI, with an MSRP of €79 (including VAT), offers similar features of ATI TV Wonder 600 while allowing customers to digitize content from a variety of external video sources in real time. Additionally, ATI TV Wonder 650 Hybrid PCI includes a high performance hardware MPEG encoder for high quality TV recording with Microsoft Windows Vista that frees up valuable computer resources.
To complement home theater experiences, ATI TV Wonder includes unique software with a 10-foot user interface to access digital content in the living room. The software also enables easy PC access for watching and recording TV, as well as listening to FM radio. Additionally, the software allows DVD viewing along with easy archiving of personal video content to DVD.
The ATI TV Wonder hybrid tuner solutions easily enable best-in-class TV reception for Microsoft Windows Media Center bundled with Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium and Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate editions, as well as Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005. Id rather have this than a DVD recorder or a Hard Drive Recorder (dunno what they are called).
Especially when my tv is right next to my PC so i could just hook my pc to my tv and watch away :) OR i could stream it to my Xbox 360 if i made it into DivX which the 360 can stream.
Is it out now if not when?
As mentioned above, we only have PAL where as America uses NTSC (iirc)

That article is a little dated, but hopefully some of these issues have been worked out.
