Everex CloudBook MAX Coming in the Second Half of 2008

The Everex CloudBook MAX - an improved version of the company's low-cost ultraportable laptop - will be available in the second half of 2008, according to the product page at Everex's website. The new CloudBook MAX delivers up to four hours of battery life, weighs less than 2.2 pounds and measures a mere 9.4" x 6.9" x 1.1" (w x d x h). It will boast a 1.6GHz VIA C7-M Processor ULV, 1GB DDR2 533MHz SDRAM (up to 2GB), 80GB HDD, 8.9"WVGA TFT Display (1024x600), embedded single chip Mobile WiMAX solution, 4-in-1 Media Card Reader, 2MP Webcam and a lot more. The CloudBook MAX runs Windows Vista Home Basic operating system. Currently, there is no information on pricing. For more details, please visit the Everex product page.

The only thing wrong with the specs is the CPU but if it is capable of running Vista which the illustration seems to be indicating i would expect it to be perfect with xp.

I like the rise in low spec PCs. It really does show that 90% of people use only 10% of there PCs power. Also it points to MS's flawed " we build it they we come" approach to OS design. Sure it runs vista home basic but whats the point of vista if it looks and feels like XP:wtf: This should really be running linux like the Eee.
