$200 Eee PC to be Available from ASUS in 2009

In a story by Digitimes, Jerry Shen, president of ASUS has said that the company will be adjusting the pricing and marketing position of their mid and entry level Eee PC's, as well as aiming to release a $200(US) Eee PC in 2009. Currently the average price of an entry level 8.9 inch Eee PC is around $400(US). Shen also went on to say that they expect 7 and 8.9 inch Eee PC's to be phased out to make way for 10 inch replacements.

Interesting on the $200 price point. I can see a lot more people getting Eee PC's if they're that cheap.

This is good cause my friend has XP Pro Enterprise. Maybe if it gets good ratings I can try some efficient mobile computing for a change.

I was at WalMart Last night and got to play with the Acer Onebook. Its so little but it was awesome. 1.60ghz Atom and 1.o GB of ram. Quite speedy for what its worth.

Wow . . . that's total awesome sauce. If these come with XP on 'em, that's an amazing deal. I can't wait to see the specs, I hope they aren't too bad.
