Transcend Introduces its Amazingly Compact T5 USB Flash Drive
Transcend Information, Inc. (Transcend), a leading manufacturer of flash memory products, today introduced a new ultra-tiny USB flash drive, the JetFlash T5. Measuring just 29.9mm x 15.3mm x 6.1mm (L x W x D), the T5 is incredibly compact, and only weighs a mere 2g. Unlike other miniature USB flash drives, the T5 is constructed with non-breakable plastic and is rugged enough to resist bending, stress, vibration, shock, and even full water submersion. Its retractable connector design and eye-catching two-tone color schemes not only make the drive easier to handle and use, but also give it a unique fashion accessory look. With its convenient attachment loop, the ultra-light T5 can be used as a mobile phone dongle or a keychain fob, making it easy to carry and store in places where ordinary flash drives just do not fit.Transcend's T5 USB flash drive is fully High-Speed USB 2.0 compliant, so users can transfer, store, and share their files quickly and easily. For added convenience, users can also install the incredibly useful JetFlash elite software onto the T5 to enhance mobile productivity. JetFlash elite, which is available for download on the Transcend website, focuses on the needs of mobile computer users, and is specifically developed to help users manage their data and increase productivity while on the go. Transcend's incredibly useful JetFlash elite software tools can also turn the T5 into a key to automatically log on to website accounts, or even temporarily lock a computer to prevent unauthorized access. The software also allows users to browse their favorite bookmarked websites and check their email from any compatible computer with the included Internet Favorites and Mobile Email functions. The extremely compact and durable JetFlash T5 USB flash drive is now available in 2GB (Orange/Black) and 4GB (White/Black) capacities.

However a USB drive is a USB drive - i doubt many of these will be sold.
I'm pleased they are introducing "quality factors". But "USB high-speed compliant" doesnt sound very racey. And "fashion accessory" isnt going to get me rushing in to the local electronics outlet.
Nonetheless, if the capacity, price, and read/write speeds are good, then next time I buy/replace a USB stick, I'd consider it... if it were on the shelf. But I certainly wouldnt go LOOKING for it.
BTW, why DID they not report the read/write speeds? Omission is an admission of guilt.
however, that orange will be just smashing with my next pc colour design..
haha
& at the same time you could also have a bit of fun with it - paint it brown & chuck it in with your brothers bowl of shreddies.
& Before I get bollocked - yes I know im not right in the mind - i have a rather sadistic black twisted sense of humor. please forgive me
