Liquid cooled Xbox 360

Westlake Village (CA) - Since the Xbox 360's launch, there have been complaints by some buyers about overheating problems. While there have been some inventive do-it-yourself solutions, CoolIT Systems will offer a retail liquid cooling solution in the future. The company will be showing off a liquid cooled Xbox 360 at the CES 2006 show in Las Vegas and could enter the retail market if enough interest is shown
CoolIT Systems will show an updated version of the XBOX 360 cooler, or liquid cooling multiple thermo-electric cooler. The liquid cooled Xbox 360 is a prototype which will cool both the Xbox 360's main and graphics processor and could become a retail product because of the big interest. CoolIT's liquid cooler runs off the existing Xbox 360 power supply. "Our engineers found that liquid cooling lowers the power consumption, however the cooling system does use some of that saved power," said Lyon chief executive of CoolIT Systems.

the thing that really needs the liquid cooling is the power supply, not the xbox....

sort of amusing how the great microsoft made a console that's so badly made that someone actually made an aftermarket cooling solution for a console...

personally, i find this incredibly amusing and ironic...
but hey, that's just me... hehe...

You cant just pop off the side of an xbox 360 and bolt on a waterblock. This is more of a proof of concept than an actual product.
