Cooler Master is Ready for Intel Core i7 LGA 1366 Socket

Cooler Master introduces the Intel Core i7 Socket LGA 1366 retention bracket which is compatible with a wide range of coolers that includes: V8, Hyper Z600 series, Hyper 212 and Geminii S. For some of these models, the retention bracket will eventually be included in the retail pack; making these coolers fully supporting all current sockets on the market: Intel LGA 775, LGA 1366 and AMD Socket 940/AM2/AM2+ compatible.

The backplate is conveniently designed so that it installs on top of Intel's stock LGA1366 backplate, hence reducing the risk of damaging the socket during installation on X58 chipset motherboards. For details, please visit the product page.

So, we will able to buy this retention bracket?
I have an Hyper Z600, I'll probably buy one for it.

I'm wondering when will Zalman release this.

Yes, you'll have to buy this kit. CM didn't state a price, though $8-ish doesn't seem unrealistic. This kit will be included with stocks of the coolers listed above, dunno if that affects their prices.

Funny, I actually have a 775 to 478 adaptor from Koolance that I'm using now (the CPU block was originally designed for 478.)

Now it's 1366 to 775, LOL. Good thing for i7 consumers not wanting to purchase a new HS+Fan.
