ZOTAC Unveils Next-Generation GTX 200 Series Video Cards

ZOTAC International, a leading manufacturer of NVIDIA-based motherboards and graphics cards, today announces the latest series of GeForce GTX 200 graphics cards - the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 285 and GTX 285 AMP! Edition. The new ZOTAC GeForce GTX 285 and GTX 285 AMP! Edition are the epitome of single GPU performance, delivering greater performance efficiency than the last generation.

The new ZOTAC GeForce GTX 285 series packs the power of 240 configurable high-speed stream processors that are ready to take on the latest DirectX 10, OpenGL 2.1 and CUDA enabled games and applications. With the 240 stream processors, the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 285 series are ready to deliver stunning, cinematic visuals in the latest games at extreme high-definition resolutions.

"The ZOTAC GeForce GTX 285 series is the ideal graphics card for hardcore gamers seeking a fair balance between graphics power and power efficiency," said Carsten Berger, marketing director, ZOTAC International. "With the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 285 series we're able to deliver greater performance than our last generation but maintain similar, if not lower power consumption."

NVIDIA CUDA technology enables the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 285 series to harness the GPU power for non-gaming applications. With NVIDIA CUDA technology, the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 285 series can accelerate video transcoding and image processing tasks, making it the perfect solution for work and play.NVIDIA PhysX technology enables real physics effects in games for realistic environmental interaction with the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 285 series. With PhysX technology, in-game effects are no longer follow a predefined path, instead the effects are calculated in real-time in relation to character interaction.

"NVIDIA CUDA and PhysX technologies have gained substantial support from software developers. Our ZOTAC GeForce GTX 285 series are ready for CUDA and PhysX games and applications such as Elemental Design's Badaboom video transcoder, Adobe Photoshop CS4 and Electronic Art's upcoming Mirror's Edge game," Mr. Berger added.

The ZOTAC GeForce GTX 285 series supports NVIDIA SLI technology for multi-GPU processing - enabling multiple graphics cards to operate simultaneously for substantial performance gains. Up to three ZOTAC GeForce GTX 285 series graphics cards can be installed in a single system for up to 2.8x the performance of a single card.

To help take advantage of the graphics power, the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 285 series ships with a full copy of Race Driver GRiD. Race Driver GRiD places gamers into the drivers seat of various types of race cars for a fully immersive racing experience with detailed visuals, realistic driving dynamics and high-definition graphics.
It's time to play with the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 285 series.
